Turns out the Cadbury Creme eggs are safe. Even if Glucose syrup comes from wheat it as been processed to the point where there is not gluten left in it.
Jen, Hello! I stumbled across your blog. I just wanted you to know that glucose syrup *is* gluten-free, even if it comes from wheat.
Shelley Case has a section about this in her book, Gluten-Free Diet. And here is a link from "Gluten-Free Living": http://www.glutenfreeliving.com/ingredient.php#glucosesyrup
I'm a multimedia producer at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. I found out Jan 13, 2006 that I have celiac disease and it has been an interesting challenge to find daily solutions to tasty, healthy food choices since then.
